Many men think that Dutasteride is better than finasteride. It is true that finasteride is 70% effective as a competitive inhibitor while dutasteride is about as 80% as effective, but most people don’t really see the difference from a practical point of view. The drug dutasteride is not FDA cleared and it is therefore not proved to be safe. We knows, for example, that dutasteride produces sterility in some men.
