Dutasteride vs finasteride, which is better?

I am a 20 year old Indian male with Norwood 2- Norwood 3 hair loss. As per blood tests, my DHT levels are 1410 which twice of normal range of 250-990. My dermatologist usually prescribes finasteride 1MG, but has recommended taking Dutasteride 0.5 MG instead of Finasteride 1 MG in my case due to unusually high DHT. She said this is for cases like mine. My question is this: what is the difference between Finasteride 1 MG and Dutasteride 0.5 MG in terms of efficacy and potential side effects? Have you ever recommended Dutasteride ? Trials indicate it is far more potent than finasteride.

Finasterdie is probably safer than dutastride which is known to cause sterility in young men. I never pay attention to the DHT levels as I don’t believe it makes any difference in my initial recommendations.
