Wearing Ties May Hamper Your Brain Blood Flow by 7.5%

In an article in NewScientist, 14 July 2018, Robin Leonard Lake at the Luddecke University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany reported that man who wore ties had a 7.5% drop in blood flow to the brain when compared to men that did not. This was particularly significant an older man. It may also cause a problem for smokers and in those with high blood pressure. Symptoms such as nausea, headaches, and dizziness have been reported. I think there’s probably enough room for us now to say, “Alright, maybe we should stop wearing ties altogether.” As a Californian, no ties is our formal attire.
