National Guard recruit battling flesh-eating bacteria contracted during basic training

Dez Del Barba, a 21-year-old National Guard recruit, has been hospitalized since February with a flesh-eating bacteria infection he contracted while going through basic training at Fort Benning. Del Barba originally tested positive for a strain of strep, called Group A strep, and has endured 14 surgeries, including the amputation of his left leg. Del Barba's family are asking for prayers, as he has recently gone back to the ICU after a minor setback.
