Can dutasteride cause a miscarriage

Hi, I see that you’re very active on this forum and I am wracked with guilt over something and wanted to ask a question. I started using topical dutasteride in February, I sometimes sleep at my grandmothers as she is alone, I often apply topical dutasteride before sleep. On other nights my sister also sleeps there in the same bed, however there would be about a 12 hour gap. My sister recently had a miscarriage after 9ish weeks. Is it likely that I caused this from the topical being on the pillow cover?

I don’t know for sure the answer to this question, but I doubt that there was a connection although in the Dutasteride, miscarriages are mentioned. Dutasteride, as I understand the issues, might only cause problems with the sexual identity of the fetus and should not induce a miscarriage but the manufacturers listing miscarriages in their published material, you should take it at face value. In the future, change the pillow case so that you don’t have to worry.
