When Brittany Guyatt decided to treat herself to a manicure at a local nail salon, the small bit of pampering led to a weeks-long ordeal and eventual surgery. Guyatt claims that after the nail technician caught her skin with the nail filer while shaping her acrylics, a growth formed and she sought medical help. Eventually, a doctor was able to cut the growth out of her finger, but she said she has now sworn off fake nails.
