Hypertrichosis from Minoxidil

Hi doctor, I know you have many experience about oral minoxidil. Do you know if the hypertrichosis induced by the medication stops at a certain point? The body hair on back/ shoulder for exemple can only grow to a certain lenght? or it will grow as long as leg hair for exemple ? thanks a lot. i was just concerned that the body hair on my back/ shoulder grow to extreme lenght ( like 5 cm) while on oral minoxidil.

It usually lasts as long as you take the oral minoxidil. Hair length depends upon the part of the body which varies. Back hair generally doesn’t grow that length and even on minoxidil it should still grow to normal length
