Class 7 pattern with persistent frontal hairline

This man wants advice on which medications and actions he can take to get hair to regrow.  This was my response:  “This is an advanced balding pattern. You have a different genetic code on the frontal one inch of your mature hairline that will probably last many years. Without knowing your age, I can’t tell what is the best approach to trying to regrow your hair. If you are over 30, it would be unlikely even with oral minoxidil, but trying might give you growth despite the odds against you if you are over 30. Consider adding miconeedling, as this produces a very different stimulus for hair growth. A hair transplant remains an option as well.”
